Metro Terms and Conditions

Australia’s largest solar company is based on deemed solar certificates creators (generated by system installs) 2013 Calendar Year to December.

Prices and savings applicable a standard install (see below) and is dependent on eligibility for the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme and the customer agrees to assign the rights to the STCs to our company.

Prices indicated are specific to STC zones, and are automatically generated based on IP addresses. Ensure the correct location is selected to receive accurate pricing.

A Standard Install for Metro Customers

All prices for a standard install (see below) within metro areas. Metro areas defined as below:

  • QLD: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office.
    Electrical Contractors License 74345.
  • NSW: 100km of the Sydney GPO. Pricing for STC Zones 1-3 (Zone 4 please call for pricing). Home Builders Licence 243772C
  • VIC: 50km of the Melbourne GPO.
  • SA: 60km of the Adelaide GPO.
    Electrical Contractors License 232138. Customers will enter into agreement directly with the Installer for the installation of solar panels. True Value Solar Pty Ltd will not itself be involved in the installation of the solar panels. Offers excludes Mt. Gambier and Kangaroo Island postcodes.
  • WA: 70km of the Perth GPO. Pricing for STC Zones 1-3 (Zone 4 please call for pricing). Customers who wish to order a solar system with an output capacity of less than 2.5kW will generally be approved within 24 hours by Western Power. True Value Solar customers are also able to order systems larger than 2.5kW, but are subject to Western Power’s approval. Systems greater than 2.5kW will require a technical review and the approval process can take up to 30 days. True Value Solar will submit the application on the customer’s behalf to Western Power, but does not guarantee approval. Customers with multiphase power may incur additional costs.

Install address must:

  • have clear, unhindered vehicle access for installers
  • have a completed home not under construction with wiring/power supply complying with current electrical standards
  • be a single storey with a pitched tin roof (extra cost may apply for other roof types)
  • have a suitable location for the inverter. If location is exposed to elements a weather proof cover may be required.
  • understand that the solar system will be installed and your Energy Supply Authority supplies final approval and connection to the grid

LED Installs

  • Ceiling height of less than 3mts
  • Replacing an existing 35w or 50w halogen lamp and transformer.
  • Same travel conditions as per the solar installs.
  • Clear unrestricted access to light fittings.
  • All pre-existing cabling and electrical system at the property must meet current AS3000 standards.
  • Each existing light fitting must have be earthed as per Australian standards.
  • Existing transformers not fixed to roof beams.
  • The existing hole is of good condition.
  • Existing dimmers must be compatible with our supplied LED lamps.
  • No greater than 90mm existing hole cut out.

Finance

Monthly payments must be made during the interest free period. Interest and payments are payable after the interest free period expires. Paying only the minimum monthly payment will not pay out the purchase before the end of the interest free period. A $99 annual fee for Gem Visa applies. This notice is given under the Gem Visa Conditions of Use (as applicable), which specify all other conditions for this offer. Also available to GE CreditLine, GO MasterCard and Buyer’s Edge customers. Other conditions, fees and charges payable, see relevant product websites for details. Credit is provided by GE Capital Finance Australia (ABN 42 008 583 588), Australian Credit Licence number 392145, trading as GE Money.

Government Rebate and STCs

  • You may be entitled to receive a rebate or other benefit from the Commonwealth or State Government, including Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), as a result of the purchase and installation of your system. True Value Solar does not warrant that you will receive any rebate, other benefit or right as a result of purchasing your system.
  • Your purchase price includes a point of sale discount on the condition that you agree to assign the right to create STCs to True Value Solar.
  • You authorise True Value Solar to create and apply for STCs in your name and to receive the payment on your behalf. You agree to sign whatever documentation we may reasonably require to give effect to the assignment of STCs
  • If  True Value Solar does not receive the payment of the STC, for any reason whatsoever, you are required to pay the amount owing within 14 days from the day of the receipt of notice.

True Value Solar may terminate this agreement should the government rebate or other benefit, including Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), be reduced, discontinued, withdrawn or cancelled prior to the installation of your system. If True Value Solar does terminate the agreement for this reason you will be entitled to a full refund.

Metro Campaign Offers

Jan 2014: Conditions of 12 months interest free: Approved applicants only. Minimum Spend applies. Available on advertised price, from True Value Solar on specific package between 08/01/2014 and 31/01/14.

August 2013 (TAS): TVS cannot guarantee that the customer will receive the higher Tasmanian Feed in Tariff that is ending on 30 August 2013

September 2013 (SA): TVS cannot guarantee that the customer will receive the higher South Australian Feed in Tariff that is ending on 30 September 2013

September 2013 (VIC): Price for a single storey pitched tin roof within 50km of Melbourne GPO (Metro) and installation within 4 weeks of $2,366 deposit.

Goods remain property of Seller until payment

  1. The Goods remain the Seller’s property until the purchase price is paid. Until then, the Purchaser is bailee of the Goods. The Purchaser must do all of the following:
    1.1. Keep them in its possession and control.
    1.2. Keep them in good condition, having regard to and other factors that may reasonably be regarded as having an impact on the quality of the Goods.
    1.3. Keep them in a location appropriate to the nature of the Goods, separately and marked so that the Goods are clearly and easily identifiable as the Seller’s property and inform the Seller of the location of the Goods, if requested, if they have been moved from their original point of installation.
    1.4. Not sell, assign or let them or any interest in them, or permit any change, pledge, lien or other encumbrance to be created in relation to them. What if Purchaser disposes of Goods
  2. If the Purchaser disposes of any of the Goods while they remain the property of the Seller, or any of those Goods become part of another product sold by the Purchaser, the Purchaser holds the proceeds received by it on trust for the Seller up to the amount it owes the Seller in respect of those Goods, and must immediately pay that amount to the Seller. If payment not made on time
  3. If the Purchaser does not pay the Seller the purchase price of the Goods on the due date, the Seller may require the Purchaser in writing to deliver the Goods back to the Seller. The Purchaser must comply, at its own cost. Re-Possession of Goods
  4. The Purchaser must allow the Seller to enter the premises of the Purchaser and do anything necessary to take possession of the Goods if the Purchaser does not return the Goods within 48 hours after being notified that the Goods must be returned.

Terms and conditions for your contract

  • Should any modifications to an existing contract be made at the customers request, a contract amendment fee of $150.00 will apply and all contract terms and conditions will remain binding.
  • Cancellation of an order will occur a $100 administrative fee (includes cancellations stemming from failed application of financing and within the cooling off period). Cancellations of an order after the cooling off period occurs full loss of deposit.

Terms and conditions for Price Guarantee

True Value Solar will beat any written competitor quote based on identical solar system and specifications. Competitor quote must be supplied at time of quote with True Value Solar.

Regional Terms and Conditions

Prices and savings only available if the solar system purchased is eligible for the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme and you agree to assign the rights to the STCs to our company.

A Standard Install for Regional Customers

Price for a single storey pitched roof for customers within regional areas. Regional areas defined as below:

  • Gippsland: 100km of the Bairnsdale PO
  • Bendigo: 50km of the Bendigo PO
  • Wangaratta: 100km of the Wangaratta GPO
  • Rockhampton: 50km of the Rockhampton PO
  • Ballarat: 50km from Ballarat PO
  • Shepparton: 50 km from Shepparton PO
  • Albury: 50 km from Albury PO
  • Fraser Coast: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 100km)
  • Toowoomba: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 100km)
  • Warrnambool: 50 km from Warrnambool PO

Install address must:

  • have clear, unhindered vehicle access for installers

September 2013 (Bendigo): Bendigo Elmore Field Day Raffle: Book an Inspection to win 300cc ATV Quad Bike

  1. No purchase necessary to enter the prize draw.
  2. This prize draw is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over, with the exception of employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion.
  3. Entries must be received by 5.00pm on 3 October 2013. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the relevant closing date for any reason.   8. All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw which will take place on  15 November 2013 at True Value Solar Bendigo Office ( 2/8 Wood Street, Long Gully, Bendigo 3550). The first entry drawn will be the winner.
  9. First prize is an $4300 300cc ATV Quad Bike.
  10. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value.
  11. The winner will be via phone and in the Bendigo Advertiser. The winner must claim their prize before close of business 18 November 2013. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.
  12. To obtain details of the winner please email areid@tvsbendigo.com.au stating the name of the prize draw in the subject heading four weeks after the closing date.
  13. The Promoter will use any data submitted by entrants for inclusion on to the Prospect Database. Terms and conditions for Interest-free finance option (where available)

  • Finance is only available to approved applicants and is subject to lending criteria.
  • Terms, conditions, fees and charges apply.
  • Finance is not available on current special
  • A $100 administration fee will be charged should the contract be cancelled
  • A minimum deposit of 10% is applicable.
  • Installation time frame commences once your deposit has been received, application for finance and grid connection has been approved.
