Metro Terms and Conditions

Prices and savings only available for a standard install (see below) and if the solar system purchased is eligible for the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme and you agree to assign the rights to the STCs to our company.

Prices indicated are specific to STC zones, and are automatically generated based on IP addresses. Ensure the correct location is selected to receive accurate pricing.

Standard Install for Metro Customers

Price for a single storey pitched roof, within metro areas. Metro areas defined as below:

  • QLD: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office.
    Electrical Contractors License 74345.
  • NSW: 100km of the Sydney GPO. Pricing for STC Zones 1-3 (Zone 4 please call for pricing). Home Builders Licence 243772C
  • VIC: 50km of the Melbourne GPO.
  • SA: 60km of the Adelaide GPO.
    Electrical Contractors License 232138. Customers will enter into agreement directly with the Installer for the installation of solar panels. True Value Solar Pty Ltd will not itself be involved in the installation of the solar panels. Offers excludes Mt. Gambier and Kangaroo Island postcodes.
  • WA: 70km of the Perth GPO. Pricing for STC Zones 1-3 (Zone 4 please call for pricing). Customers who wish to order a solar system with an output capacity of less than 2.5kW will generally be approved within 24 hours by Western Power. True Value Solar customers are also able to order systems larger than 2.5kW, but are subject to Western Power’s approval. Systems greater than 2.5kW will require a technical review and the approval process can take up to 30 days. True Value Solar will submit the application on the customer’s behalf to Western Power, but does not guarantee approval. Customers with multiphase power may incur additional costs.

Install address must:

  • have clear, unhindered vehicle access for installers
  • have a completed home not under construction with wiring/power supply complying with current electrical standards
  • have a tin roof (extra cost may apply for other roof types)
  • have a suitable location for the inverter. If location is exposed to elements a weather proof cover may be required.
  • understand that the solar system will be installed and your Energy Supply Authority supplies final approval and connection to the grid

Terms and conditions for grid approved QLD Energex customers:

This offer is only available for Energex customers within 100km of Brisbane (metro QLD). Offer is available to new customers only. Customers must be eligible for the Government Solar Credits Scheme and must successfully assign Small-Scale Technology Certificates to True Value Solar.

Customers are required to purchase the same capacity inverter as pre-approved and provide their existing Network Connection Agreement form. True Value Solar’s price guarantee is available on selected systems only. Written competitor quote must be provided on identical systems.

Terms and conditions for Interest-free finance option (where available)

  • Finance is only available to approved applicants and is subject to lending criteria.
  • Terms, conditions, fees and charges apply.
  • Finance is not available on current special
  • A $100 administration fee will be charged should the contract be cancelled
  • A minimum deposit of 10% is applicable.
  • Installation time frame commences once your deposit has been received, application for finance and grid connection has been approved.
  • $500 discount is for new customers only. Discount for purchase of a 3kW or higher output system, without finance. Offer valid until 31st May 2013 and not redeemable for cash. Must quote code to be eligible for discount.

Goods remain property of Seller until payment

  1. The Goods remain the Seller’s property until the purchase price is paid. Until then, the Purchaser is bailee of the Goods. The Purchaser must do all of the following:
    1.1. Keep them in its possession and control.
    1.2. Keep them in good condition, having regard to and other factors that may reasonably be regarded as having an impact on the quality of the Goods.
    1.3. Keep them in a location appropriate to the nature of the Goods, separately and marked so that the Goods are clearly and easily identifiable as the Seller’s property and inform the Seller of the location of the Goods, if requested, if they have been moved from their original point of installation.
    1.4. Not sell, assign or let them or any interest in them, or permit any change, pledge, lien or other encumbrance to be created in relation to them. What if Purchaser disposes of Goods
  2. If the Purchaser disposes of any of the Goods while they remain the property of the Seller, or any of those Goods become part of another product sold by the Purchaser, the Purchaser holds the proceeds received by it on trust for the Seller up to the amount it owes the Seller in respect of those Goods, and must immediately pay that amount to the Seller. If payment not made on time
  3. If the Purchaser does not pay the Seller the purchase price of the Goods on the due date, the Seller may require the Purchaser in writing to deliver the Goods back to the Seller. The Purchaser must comply, at its own cost. Re-Possession of Goods
  4. The Purchaser must allow the Seller to enter the premises of the Purchaser and do anything necessary to take possession of the Goods if the Purchaser does not return the Goods within 48 hours after being notified that the Goods must be returned.

Terms and conditions for your contract

  • Should any modifications to an existing contract be made at the customers request, a contract amendment fee of $150.00 will apply and all contract terms and conditions will remain binding.
  • Cancellation of an order will occur a $100 administrative fee (includes cancellations stemming from failed application of financing and within the cooling off period). Cancellations of an order after the cooling off period occurs full loss of deposit.

Terms and conditions for Price Guarantee

True Value Solar will beat any written competitor quote based on identical solar system and specifications. Competitor quote must be supplied at time of quote with True Value Solar.

  • Rockhampton: 50km of the Rockhampton PO
  • Cairns: 50km of the Cairns PO
  • Townsville: 50km of Cairns PO (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 50km)
  • Mackay: 50km of Cairns PO (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 50km)
  • Fraser Coast: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 100km)
  • Gladstone: 50km of the Gladstone PO
  • Toowoomba: 100km of the Brisbane GPO or Yatala Post Office (please add $200 then +$1 per km outside 100km)
